Dream.Bet Review

Dream.bet was established in 2022 and has quickly established themselves as one of the top new betting sites. They are owned and operated by NewEra B.V. and licenced by Gaming Curacao. Right off the bat, Dream.bet has a well-designed betting site with clearly labeled tabs that are easy to navigate.

You can even customize the website by entering in your favourite sports, teams, and preferred odds format. They have a wide range of sports to bet on in all countries and provide you with many useful features such as live betting, same game parlays, and cash outs.

Dream.bet Sportsbook offers a solid selection of promotions but make sure to read through the terms and conditions to fully understand the requirements you need to reach before you can withdraw. We have a full review of the sportsbook prepared for you here explaining how to create an account, breaking down the Dream.bet welcome bonus, and highlighting all their strengths and weakness so make sure to read through everything before you sign up!

Dream.bet Strengths and Weaknesses

Our goal with this review is to be as honest as possible. For this reason, we have not only highlighted the strengths of Dream.bet, but also the area’s they fall short on compared to the top betting sites.

Here are the best and worst of Dream.bet.

 Dream.bet Strengths

  • Well Designed Website: My first impression of Dream.bet Sportsbook was how well designed their website was. The layout is eye pleasing and simple to navigate based on the labeled tabs.
Sports, Dream.bet Casino, and Promotion tabs are at the top of the website, while individual sports are along the left-hand side organized by popularity, and thenfln alphabetically below.

All their company information is at the bottom of the website along with FAQs, and there is always a live chat option in the bottom left. Your account information and payment options are in the top left with the ability to view your active bets and Dream.bet promotions, as well as customize the website to your liking.
  • 24/7 Customer service: Dream.bet has three options to contact them 24/7. You can reach them through E-mail (support@dream.bet), Live chat or even by phone. You can also visit their FAQ section for commonly asked questions.
  • Wide Selection of Sports: Dream.bet has all the major sports covered as well as numerous niche offering across the globe. Niche offerings include Politics, Darts, and Greyhound Racing. They also offer Horse Racing and have an entire tab at the top of their website for Esports.

Dream.bet Weaknesses

  • Limited Prop and Futures Bets: The main area that Dream.bet falls behind the top competitors in the industry is their limited prop bets. They offer futures bets but there are very few markets compared to industry leaders. The top sportsbooks in the country have what seems like unlimited betting opportunities, but the betting options here are still solid.
  • Unrealistic Requirements for Promotions: The promotions here at first glance seem great, but when you read through the terms and conditions and see a 16x rollover requirement, it may not be worth the hassle. Make sure you read through all the requirements to fully understand what you are being offered.
  • No Mobile App: Dream.bet has a solid mobile webpage, but having a dedicated app makes things a lot easier. Betting apps have quicker load times and making signing in and depositing much easier.

Dream.bet has some great features that make them a solid all-around sportsbook, they just have a few areas they need to improve on to put them on par with the top sportsbooks. Adding a mobile app, adding more player props, and offering more customer friendly promotions would set them apart.

Is Dream.bet legal in Canada?

Dream.bet is licensed by the Curacao Gaming Control Board (GCB) with the registration number 157707 and registered address at Scharlooweg 39, Curacao. This betting site does not have a gambling licence specific to Canada, but the fact that it is licensed by another governing body allows for legal sports betting by Canadians. They also have a dedicated Dream.bet Canada webpage.

Is Dream.bet Legal in Ontario?

To operate in Ontario, sportbooks must be licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and be managed by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) or iGaming Ontario (iGO).

Since Dream.bet Sportsbook has done neither of these things they are technically operating in grey area legally. You can still place wagers with them, they are just an offshore brand that has not been verified by the province.

Dream.bet Welcome Bonus

Welcome packages are given to incentivise first time users to sign up. The most common welcome bonus is a deposit match, which is the case for Dream.bet. They have an additional reload bonus, monthly bonuses, and free bets available to existing users, but new users will have their first deposit matched in bet credits 100% up to $150.

Dream.bets best sports features

It’s important to understand what betting features are available to you so can take advantage of them when you sign up. Features can help distinguish the top sportsbooks from the average ones. Here are the best features Dream.bet Sportsbook has to offer.

Dream.bet Cash out

Cash outs are not offered universally across all sportsbooks, but it is a great feature to have. You can end a bet before it has officially concluded to either guarantee yourself a solid profit or lose less money than you originally would have.

Dream.bet Build-a-bet

This is the term Dream.bet Sportsbook uses for the commonly used phrase “same game parlay.” Build-a-bet allows you to combine multiple wagers from the same event into one single bet. Combining the bets increases the amount you will be paid overall, but each bet must be successful for you to receive a profit.

Dream.bet Live Betting

Live betting is almost universally offered across online sportsbooks in today’s day and age. Some companies have quicker and better designed live betting sections, but I was quite pleased with Dream.bets’s. There is an entire tab for live events sorted by sport, with odds updated by the second.

Dream.bet Sports Coverage

Dream.bet has 35 different sports tabs to choose from on the left-hand side of their webpage, highlighting the most popular leagues/sports in their “popular section.” They also have a dedicated E-sports tab at the top of their website which is great news for gamers. They have Horse Racing which is a popular sport that not all sportsbooks offer, and they have a great deal of sports that the common bettor would not expect to see. You can bet on Water Polo, Snooker, Netball, Table tennis, Darts, and lots more. Here is a breakdown of the most popular leagues/sports to bet on at Dream.bet.

  • NBA: The NBA one of the big four sports leagues in North America, and NBA betting reaches its peak for in season tournaments, the Slam Dunk Competition, and the NBA Finals.
  • MLB: The second of the big four sports leagues in North America, baseball is America’s pastime, and the MLB is the sport’s most popular league. MLB sports betting reaches its highs on Opening Day, during the Home run Derby / Allstar game, and during the World Series.
  • NHL: The least popular of the big four sports leagues in the United States but the most popular sport in Canada, the NHL is the premier destination for the best hockey players in the world. The Allstar game / Skills competition and the Stanley Cup playoffs are the most popular times for betting on the NHL.
  • NFL: The most popular sports league in the United States, the NFL has one of the most watched sports events world-wide in the Superbowl. Games are limited, but betting doesn’t get much better than Sunday Football.
  • MLS: This is not the most popular soccer league in the world, and it is not considered part of the big four sports league in North America, but Major League Soccer is still extremely popular. There are three teams located in Canada with the rest are established in the United States.
  • PGA: Golf’s popularity increased substantially during Covid, so much so that LIV golf was created, a league to rival the PGA. The PGA still has the sports four majors, which are by far its most popular events for betting.
  • Tennis: Similarly, to golf, tennis has four majors that are the most popular events for the sport. There are also numerous ATP and WTP events to bet on throughout the year.
  • Soccer: The most popular sport in the world, Soccer reaches its peak every four years for the World Cup. The Premier League is the most popular league the sport has to offer.
  • Esports: This is far from the most popular sport in the world, but similarly to golf, the popularity of Esports increased dramatically during Covid. Counterstrike, League of Legends, Valorant, and Call of Duty are some of the most popular games to bet on.

Dream.bet Betting Markets & Types of Bets Available

We have covered the most popular sports on Dream.bet, but what are the most popular betting markets? This refers to the types of individual bets you are placing. These individual bets can be combined into one single parlay bet, but here are some of the most common markets to look out for.

Dream.bet Betting Markets:

  • Moneyline: The most common and straightforward wager in sports. Simply put, this is a wager on which player/team you think will win. You will receive a larger profit if you bet on an underdog versus a favourite.
  • Point Spread: This works very similarly to the moneyline, however, the favorite must win by a designated amount and the underdog can either win straight up or lose by a designated amount.
  • Totals: Commonly referred to as the over/under, odds makers decide on a fair number of points for both teams, one specific team, or just a specific player to score and you have the option to bet on the true total being higher or lower than that number.
  • Player Props: Player prop markets are different on every website as some have considerably more options than others, but examples include total points, total saves, or total strikeouts for a specific player.

Dream.bet Types of Bets Available

  • Single Bet: This is the most common bet, just wagering on one single event to happen such as the Toronto Raptors to win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
  • Parlay Bet: A parlay is when multiple single bets are combined into one bet to increase your total payout. This can be two wagers combined into one, or much more, but each individual wager must win for you to receive a payout.
  • Live Bet: If you lose track of time and miss out on betting before the game starts, no need to worry, you can place wagers live as you are watching the game. Odds will update in real time based on the events that you are watching.
  • Futures Bet: When a sports season ends, that doesn’t mean the end of its betting season. You can still place bets on which teams/players you think will do well next season. For example, once a champion is crowned in the NFL, odds will be available for you to bet on the Superbowl champion for the upcoming season.

Dream.bet App

Sports betting apps have revolutionized the betting industry. They make signing in and transferring money easy. Live wagers can be placed on the go with the touch of a finger.

Unfortunately, there is no dedicated Dream.bet app, however, the sportsbook can be accesses through a mobile browser on your Apple or Android devices. The mobile site has slightly slower load times than the computer version and regular apps, but overall, the design is very similar to their desktop website which I loved. Everything is organized well, and the page is easy to navigate.

How to open an account on Dream.bet

Opening an account with Dream.bet Sportsbook is as simple as it comes. There are just two steps, the first where you enter your email and create a username and password. To simplify things even further, you can sign in with you Facebook or Google account. The second step requires you to enter in some person information including your name, country, phone, and birthdate.

Steps to open an account on Dream.bet

  • Visit dream.bet/ca/sports
  • Click on Register Now in the top right.
  • Create an account by entering your email, username, and password.

registration step 3

  • Enter in your personal details including your name, phone number, and Country.

  • Enter in the Welcome Bonus Promo Code and choose a method to deposit a minimum of $15 (optional).

  • Your account setup is complete and now you can browse the sportsbook to place your first wager!

Dream.bet deposits and withdrawals

Now that you have opened an account, you need to choose a method to deposit funds before you can start placing wagers. Personally, I prefer Apple Pay for deposits and Interac for withdrawals. Apple pay has all my bank/credit cards saved so all I need to do is scan my finger to make a deposit. Interac works like an e-transfer which is what I primarily use when I owe someone money. These are just two recommendations however, Dream.bet is not lacking when it comes to payment methods and accommodates almost everyone. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect from some of the most popular payment methods.

Dream.bet conclusions

Overall Dream.bet is a very solid sportsbook. Their website design is on par or better than any I have seen, and their sports coverage is great. Having a dedicated Esports section and offering Horse racing are huge selling factors considering those are both large markets that are not universally offered. They check all the boxes in the features category with cash outs, same game parlays, and live betting, but they have a few improvements to make to reach the next level. If they added a mobile app and more player prop and futures bets, this sportsbook could compete with the best in the business.
