Forest is a slim +125 favorite. Man United comes back at +220. Three of the last four meetings have cashed the Over in goals, which could be an intriguing bet again here. United does come in more well-rested, as we’ll discuss more below.
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United Analysis
While they haven’t been in the top flight long, Nottingham Forest has taken the Premier League by storm in 2024-25. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are in third at the moment with a 16-6-7 record, grabbing 54 points from 29 games. They’ve bagged 49 goals while conceding 35 this term and sit just four points behind runners-up Arsenal.
Forest is coming off a wonderful victory in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Saturday against Brighton, beating them in penalties after a scoreless stalemate for 90 minutes. As for Premier League action, The Tricky Trees hammered Ipswich Town on March 15 by a score of 4-2 behind Anthony Elanga’s brace. Forest beat United in the reverse fixture in December.
A new manager hasn’t made any difference for United, who are having one of the worst seasons in club history. Ruben Amorim’s side looks like they will be finishing in the bottom half of the table, and to be frank, if it wasn’t for Bruno Fernandes, they could be in the relegation zone.
On a more positive note, the Red Devils did win their last league fixture, beating Leicester City 3-0. Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho scored the first two goals before Fernandes added the third, taking his tally to eight for the season. United has unfortunately tasted defeat in two of their last three games against Nottingham Forest and head into this clash as a slim underdog at soccer betting sites.
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United Team News
Forest could be without their leading man on Tuesday as Chris Wood suffered an injury while on international duty with New Zealand. He’s scored a team-best 18 goals. Morgan Gibbs-White may also miss out after colliding with the post in the victory over Brighton. As for United, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez, and Johnny Evans, among others, remain sidelined with injuries. Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw could return for this match, though.
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United Picks
Forest has been dominant on home soil this term, compiling an 8-4-2 record. Yes, they haven’t completed the league double against Man United since the early 1990s, but I do believe the hosts will produce the goods here and keep up their winning ways against an inconsistent Red Devils side. Take the moneyline.
Pick: Nottingham Forest +125
