Premier League Gameweek 4 Saturday Betting Picks & Odds

After an eventful international break, the Premier League is back for Matchweek 4, and there are certainly a few intriguing ones here. A few weeks ago, we put together our best card of the season, going 6-1 for over +4 units. Our only miss was the controversial Arsenal-Brighton draw in which we saw Declan Rice dismissed in one of the most ridiculous decisions in recent Premier League history. But I digress. Let’s try and keep that 6-1 magic alive for the Saturday slate on September 14.

Southampton vs. Manchester United Soccer Betting Odds - 7:30AM E.T.

Manchester United has come out in the 2024 season and looked about as bad as any squad not managed by Sean Dyche. Southampton has had a tough run so far too, but they looked their best in their most recent match, and they have actually had some success against United. While they don’t often win, they’ve drawn three of the last four meetings, and four of the last seven. We’re taking the draw here.

Best Bet: Draw (+300)

Brighton vs. Ipswich Town Soccer Betting Odds - 10AM E.T.

Brighton might have gotten away with one against Arsenal, but they were not getting dominated before the red card, and the goal they scored was from a top quality move. Ipswich had a nice draw at home to Fulham last time out, but when they’re not at Portman Road, we think they’re going to really struggle. We like the Seagulls to dominate this one.

Best Bet: Brighton -1 Spread (+100)

Crystal Palace vs. Leicester City Soccer Betting Odds - 10AM E.T.

Leicester matched up with Tottenham well, but their lack of quality has shown in losses to Fulham and Aston Villa, though they have scored in every match. Crystal Palace has looked spry and exciting to start this season as well. All three of Leicester’s matches have seen both sides score, and the same goes for two of Palace’s three. We’re taking both teams to find the back of the net here.

Best Bet: Both Teams to Score - Yes (-134)

Fulham vs. West Ham Soccer Betting Odds - 10AM E.T.

West Ham lost both of these fixtures last year, but they’d won five and drawn one just before that. We’re just not certain enough, so we’re going with a BTTS bet again here at slightly less interesting odds. These squads have both seen both teams score in two of their first three matches.

Liverpool vs. Nottingham Forest Soccer Betting Odds

The last time Forest beat Liverpool at Anfield in the league was 1969, and since then, Liverpool is 20-4 against Forest at their home field. Liverpool has looked lively and likely so far this season while Forest have been a bit disappointing. We won’t take -2 for Liverpool, but we do like -2.

Manchester City vs. Brentford Soccer Betting Odds - 10AM E.T.

Since March 31, when City and Arsenal drew, City has won every league game they’ve played at the Etihad—and by a lot. They’ve won all five by 2+ goals, and only once was that the 2 and not the + (haha) so we have City to keep it rolling.

Best Bet: Manchester City -2 Spread (+120)

Aston Villa vs. Everton Soccer Betting Odds

Either Everton gets blown out or they allow a team to come back from a multi-goal deficit. There’s no trusting them right now, and Villa could easily have three wins this season. Emery’s men will get the job done at the absolute highest odds price we dare ever tread, at -200.

Bournemouth vs. Chelsea Soccer Betting Odds

Chelsea have dominated the two non-City teams they’ve played this year. Bournemouth may be a well-coached side, but the talent here with Chelsea is simply too much. We’ll take the plus odds on the better squad.
