Arsenal vs Brentford Odds

By no surprise, Arsenal is a heavy -165 moneyline favorite for an implied win probability of 62.26%. Brentford returns as a heavy underdog at soccer betting sites.

The Gunners have dominated the Bees in recent memory, winning six of the last seven games. The other finished in a draw. These two locked horns on January 1, with Arsenal running out 3-1 winners.

Arsenal vs Brentford Analysis

While another runner-up finish in the Premier League is seemingly in the cards for Arsenal, they’re still having a very solid campaign. Mikel Arteta’s men have a 17-11-3 record, bagging 56 goals and conceding a league-low 26. The Gunners are enjoying an eight-game unbeaten run at the moment, but their most recent victory was undoubtedly the most impressive of the entire season.

The North Londoners met with UCL holders Madrid in the first leg of the quarterfinals on Tuesday and absolutely ran riot on the reigning champions, winning 3-0. Declan Rice scored a brace with two world-class free kicks while Mikel Merino scored the third in fine fashion to beat Thibaut Courtois. With the EPL title out of sight, Arsenal will surely be eyeing European glory, and eliminating Los Blancos would certainly give them a better chance at lifting the Champions League trophy.

Brentford, meanwhile, isn’t having the best season. Sure, they’ve managed to stay in the top flight over the last few years, but the Bees are in 12th place with a 12-6-13 record. Scoring goals hasn’t been an issue, bagging 51. But Thomas Frank’s squad has conceded 47 times. Last time out, Brentford grabbed a point in a hard-fought draw with a strong Chelsea team.

The Bees were frankly outplayed, with the Blues mustering up 20 shots and nine on target. But, they couldn’t capitalize on their opportunities. As you saw above, Brentford has had minimal success against Arsenal, which isn’t great news for this clash. Plus, the Gunners just took down one of the best teams in the world. On a more positive note, the visitors do come in well-rested, while Arsenal has had minimal days between their last game and this upcoming affair.

Arsenal vs Brentford Injury News

Although Arsenal is five points clear in second, Arteta could opt to rest both Bukayo Saka and Rice, who picked up minor knocks against Madrid. They need the two healthy for the second leg at the Bernabeu, so Ethan Nwaneri and Jorginho could get a start here. The Gunners are still missing Kai Havertz, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Magalhaes, Riccardo Calafiori, and Gabriel Jesus through injury. As for Brentford, they’re without five players due to injuries, including Fabio Carvalho, Josh Dasilva, and Igor Thiago, among others.

Arsenal vs Brentford Picks

Arsenal hasn’t tasted defeat against Brentford since 2021, and as I mentioned, they’re going to be flying high after embarrassing the UCL champions. I have no doubts they will collect the full points on Saturday, regardless of whether Arteta rolls out his best starting XI or not. Take the moneyline.
