NFL Week 6 Sunday Afternoon Slate Betting Picks & Odds - October 13
All odds provided by Betway.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Chicago Bears (UK) - 9:30AM
Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total |
Jacksonville Jaguars | +105 | +1.5 (-110) | O44.5 (-110) |
Chicago Bears | -125 | -1.5 (-110) | U44.5 (-110) |
Jacksonville has arguably been better at their home away from home in London than they have at their actual home in Duval in recent years. The Jags have played nine London games since 2015, going 6-3, and we expect them to continue that trend as the underdogs.
Best Bet: Jaguars Moneyline (+105)
Arizona Cardinals @ Green Bay Packers - 1PM
Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total |
Arizona Cardinals | +200 | +5.0 (-110) | O47.5 (-110) |
Green Bay Packers | -245 | -5.0 (-110) | U47.5 (-110) |
Green Bay is averaging 25.6 points per game while the Cardinals are putting up 24.0 per outing, which would set us up nicely for a cover on the over for this one’s point total. The Packers have scored 24+ in four of five games, and ditto for the Cardinals in three of five. Arizona has given up 40 and scored 40 this season, and that pairing of exciting offense and swiss cheese defense makes the over a good bet here, though we’re comfortable buying down the line being offered by sports betting sites.
Best Bet: Alternative Game Total Points Over 44.5 (-168)
Cleveland Browns @ Philadelphia Eagles - 1PM
Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total |
Cleveland Browns | +350 | +9.0 (-110) | O42.5 (-110) |
Philadelphia Eagles | -450 | -9.0 (-110) | U42.5 (-110) |
This line from NFL betting sites is nuts, which is why a bet on the result here is pretty much out of the question. Instead, we’ll head to the player prop markets to find betting value. The Browns pass defense continues to be stingy as they come, but they have given up the ninth-most rushing yards on the fourth-most yards allowed per rush (5.0).
Best Bet: Saquon Barkley Over 86.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Houston Texans @ New England Patriots - 1PM
Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total |
Houston Texans | -290 | -7.0 (+100) | O37.5 (-110) |
New England Patriots | +235 | +7.0 (-120) | U37.5 (-110) |
Drake Maye will make his NFL debut for the Patriots playing behind a line that allowed his predecessor, Jacoby Brissett, to be pressured on 36.9 percent of his dropbacks through five weeks. The former Tar Heel is almost guaranteed to make a mistake here against a defense that’s holding opponents to the eighth-worst passer rating so far. Even in his last year at UNC, he had an INT rate above two percent.
Best Bet: Drake Maye Over 0.5 Interceptions (-150)
Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans - 1PM
Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total |
Indianapolis Colts | +125 | +2.5 (-105) | O43.0 (-110) |
Tennessee Titans | -150 | -2.5 (-115) | U43.0 (-110) |
Will Levis is back in as the starter for the Titans, and that can only mean one thing: bet on the other team. And that’s especially true in this situation, with the Colts somehow offering plus money on the moneyline. Whether it’s Anthony Richardson or Joe Flacco starting for Indy, no need to overthink this one.
Best Bet: Indianapolis Colts Moneyline (+125)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints - 1PM
Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | -180 | -3.5 (-105) | O41.5 (-110) |
New Orleans Saints | +150 | +3.5 (-115) | U41.5 (-110) |
Divisional games are always tough to predict because both sides know each other so well. The NFC South is a particularly hairy division to bet on, because it’s tough to tell whether any of their top three teams are actually good or not. One thing we do know, is that both of these teams are top 10 in scoring offense and bottom seven in passing defense. Take the over, but buy this line down a point and a half if you want to be safe.
Best Bet: Alternative Game Total Points Over 40.0 (-145)
Washington Commanders @ Baltimore Ravens - 1PM
Team | Moneyline | Point Spread | Total |
Washington Commanders | +245 | +6.5 (+100) | O52.0 (-110) |
Baltimore Ravens | -305 | -6.5 (-120) | U52.0 (-110) |
There’s no way we’re betting on the Commanders to win outright in Baltimore, and a 6.5 point spread is simply too large to consider. Instead, we’re going to the point total for our best bet here. These are literally the two most potent offenses in the league, with Washington leading the way on 31.0 points per game and Baltimore coming in just behind at 29.4 (they’re also fourth and first in total offense). Both teams have seen four of their five games go over the total, and this one should be no different.
Best Bet: Game Total Points Over 52.0 (-110)
