NFL Week 18 Sunday 1PM Slate Betting Picks, Odds, & Best Bets

We had a little bit of a hiccup last week with a 2-4 card, but we’ll look to bounce back in the final week of this 2024 NFL regular season. There’s enough out there for us to find value on one NFL betting market for each 1PM matchup in Week 18, some of which even have playoff implications.

NFL Week 18 Sunday Afternoon Slate Betting Picks & Odds - January 5

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots - 1PM

The Bills are going to trot Josh Allen out there for the first series or two, but not much more than that. We’re not betting on Mitch Trubisky, so we look to the over/under. Drake Maye and the Pats offense have struggled to score all year, and without Allen in there, the Bills offense can’t be expected to do much either. The under has hit in four of six games for the Pats where the total was set under 40.

Best Bet: Alternative Game Total Points Under 40.0 (-190)

Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons - 1PM

The Panthers have nothing to play for and the Falcons have everything to play for—but Carolina has covered as an underdog in six of their last seven. Atlanta’s QB, Michael Penix, has started just twice this year, so he’s hardly reliable despite a couple of solid performances. We’re going to buy a couple points, but we’re banking on Bryce Young and company keeping this close.

Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers - 1PM

While the Packers could rest everybody for this one, Matt LaFleur has announced that he’s expecting everyone to go the full four quarters despite having clinched the No. 7 seed. Chicago is just 3-7 ATS in their last 10, so we’ll buy a few points from online betting sites to make the Packers spread a bit more palatable.

Best Bet: Green Bay Packers Alternative -6.5 Point Spread (-168)

Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans - 1PM

The Titans want to lose to remain in the mix for the No. 1 pick, while the Texans likely won’t play their starters more than a series or two. Tennessee has shown they can score with Mason Rudolph, but they’re planning to do a QB timeshare, so we like the under here with Davis Mills likely in for C.J. Stroud.

Best Bet: Alternative Game Total Points Under 40.0 (-188)

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts - 1PM

Mac Jones has led this team to 20+ points in three of their last five games. Meanwhile, Joe Flacco will get the start, and Indy is averaging over 24 points a game when he throws 25+ passes. Don’t expect a 37-34 thriller like the previous time these teams met, but we should see enough scoring to hit the over.

New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 1PM

We don’t love double-digit spreads, but seven of the Bucs’ 10 wins have come by 15+ points. The Saints have also been the worst team in the league without Derek Carr, going 0-6 and losing by an average of 19.2 points. Five of those six losses came by 15+ points.

Best Bet: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Alternative -12.5 Point Spread (-140)

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles - 1PM

The Giants can’t afford to take another game and still be in the mix for a top QB in the 2025 Draft after winning a shocker last week. The Eagles still looked pretty good with their 2nd and 3rd string QBs last week, so we’ll take their backups over New York’s tanking starters.

Best Bet: Philadelphia Eagles Moneyline (-135)

Washington Commanders @ Dallas Cowboys - 1PM

Washington is one of the few teams that actually has something to play for. If they lose and the Packers win, they will fall to the No. 7 seed rather than the No. 6. That means they would be playing the No. 2 Eagles rather than the No. 3 Rams or Buccaneers. Pretty big difference.
