Even a half-year with the Jets will make it seem like you’ve lost it, but Davante Adams still put up 1,000 yards and eight TDs last season. And while he is turning 33 during the 2025 campaign, he’s not the type of player that has an overreliance on athleticism. His hands and route-running remain as crisp as ever.

A return to the Green Bay Packers just seems to make too much sense. He spent the first eight years of his career there, so he’s familiar with the city and organization. Plus, they are in win-now mode, which is likely to be a prerequisite for a veteran like Adams who has yet to win a Super Bowl ring. Adams would also seem to be the perfect player to step in for a Packers team that has tons of young receiving talent but no bonafide No. 1 receiver. Not to mention the value he could bring to them as a mentor as well. This seems almost too good to be true, so don’t overthink those +190 odds.

Apart from the Packers, the 49ers would be intriguing. They just traded Deebo Samuel, so they will be in the market for a wideout. Adams grew up in Palo Alto near the Bay, and he went to University at Fresno, which is also in central/northern California. They’re definitely gearing up for a run, and at +600 odds, they’re probably the best long shot on here for Adams.

Cooper Kupp is still technically a member of the Rams, but as you can see by their conspicuous absence from this odds board, both sides have already confirmed he will not be returning. At this point, it seems most likely that L.A. will release the veteran rather than finding a trade partner.

This table is a bit confusing, because a receiver turning 32 in June doesn’t seem like a great fit for a rebuilding outfit like the Broncos, Jaguars, or Patriots. Kupp has won a Super Bowl already, so perhaps he’s simply looking for the most disgustingly lucrative deal he can find. If that’s the case, the Patriots have the deepest pockets right now.

However, we think Kupp will want to stay competitive. And who is more competitive than these Detroit Lions? Jameson Williams was excellent last year, but he’s not really a pure wideout, as he moves around the formation a lot performing gadget plays. Kupp could be that reliable presence on the outside opposite Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The Chargers, who betting apps are giving +650 odds to land Kupp just like the Lions, are likely to land one of these veteran receivers. It’s just that they’re casting such a wide net that it’s hard to tell what they’re going to reel in. However, we think the Chargers will push for more of a big-bodied, big-play receiver here.

And who is more of a big-bodied wideout than DK Metcalf? At 6’4” and 240 pounds, he seems like the perfect foil for the Chargers opposite McConkey. L.A. seems like they’re one or two big stars away on offense, and Metcalf’s big play ability could be a missing piece.

However, they still have to put forth an acceptable trade package for the Seahawks, who won’t give up their star for free. If it was just Metcalf demanding a trade, he might have a chance to stay. But after Seattle offloaded both Tyler Lockett and Geno Smith, it’s clear where this team is headed. Don’t go anywhere near the +300 odds betting sites are giving the Seahawks here.

Apart from the Chargers, the Raiders seem the best bet for Metcalf: they just acquired his QB, Geno Smith, and they employ the coach that drafted him, Pete Carroll. Those +700 odds look mighty fine when you think about those connections.
