A surprisingly hot start by the 4-0 Minnesota Vikings and a surprisingly slow start for some of the teams in the AFC North. The newest development around the league? Davante Adams’ trade request. There is a ton of speculation around where the star receiver will end up next after joining the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022. And one of the betting sites is taking bets.

Davante Adams requests a trade, the New York Jets with the best odds

According to multiple reports, Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams has requested a trade. And there has been a ton of speculation regarding which team will trade for Adams and whether or not the Raiders will make a deal soon. Sports Interaction released odds for Adams’ next team. The New York Jets are the slight betting favourites with +115 odds.

Adams played with Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers when he was a member of the Green Bay Packers. During his time with the Packers, Adams had multiple 1,000 yard receiving seasons and five seasons with 10 or more touchdowns. The Jets have his former quarterback and look like they could be a serious landing spot for Adams. According to reports, the Jets are one the teams that he would prefer to be traded to. The Jets look like one of the most logical destinations. Adams had a lot of success with Rodgers as his quarterback and both would like to win now.

Sports Interaction taking bets on where Adams will play next

The Washington Commanders have the second best odds to trade for Adams. The Commanders are slightly behind the Jets with +300 odds. The Commanders have a 3-1 record right now and a young quarterback. Adams may prefer to go to a team with a shot at making the playoffs, and the Commanders are on the right path after three wins in a row. With a rookie in Jayden Daniels at quarterback, adding one of the best receivers in the league over the past few seasons could be beneficial.

The Kansas City Chiefs are arguably the most intriguing team in the top five for best odds to trade for Adams. The Chiefs at +500 have the third best odds. The back-to-back Super Bowl champions are in the top three, but there is a ton of speculation about whether or not the Raiders will be willing to trade Adams within the division, especially to the Chiefs. On paper, Patrick Mahomes and Adams would be one of the best QB and WR duos in the league. The Chiefs are dealing with injuries to two of their best receivers. Wide receivers Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Rashee Rice are out of the lineup due to injury. Is there a better receiver available to replace one of them than Adams?

According to ESPN’s Adam Shefter, the New Orleans Saints are also high on Adams’ list of preferred destinations. The Saints also have a quarterback who has played with Adams in the past. Adams played with Derek Carr on the Raiders in 2022. The Saints have the fifth best odds at +700. They have a 2-2 record right heading into their week five game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Some of the other interesting teams that bettors can bet on are the Baltimore Ravens at +1200, Buffalo Bills at +1200, and San Francisco 49ers at +1200.

Two teams high on Davante Adams’ wishlist of places to land - if not at the very top - are the Jets and Saints, per league sources.
