Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks (Game 4, NYK Leads 2-1) - 1PM E.T.
The Detroit Pistons are down 2-1 in this series but could very easily be up 3-0. They led for nearly all of the first game before faltering late (and spectacularly so), led for basically the entirety of their Game 2 win, and led Game 3 right up until the end. If that 21-0 run the Knicks put on these young Pistons in Game 1 didn’t faze them, that tough Game 3 loss won’t either. We like feisty Detroit to even things up at Little Caesars.
Pick: Detroit Pistons Moneyline (-130)
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (Game 4, MIN Leads 2-1) - 3:30PM E.T.
The Timberwolves got a massive boost from Jaden McDaniels in their Game 3 win. He led the team with 30 points, but we doubt he will do so again. When an opposing role player explodes like that, you shake his hand and make sure you win the next game.
LeBron James played really well in that one, and he’s going to need to do it again and get Luka Doncic to join him. He is 7-2 in Game 4s since joining the Lakers, and apart from the NBA Finals, he’s 4-0 in Game 4s when he’s down 2-1 since 2011. We’re rolling with the 40-year-old, as strange as that is to say, but we’ll take the three points sportsbooks are giving us anyhow.
Pick: Los Angeles Lakers +3.0 Point Spread (-110)
Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics (Game 4, BOS Leads 2-1) - 7PM E.T.
The Magic got back in the series with a huge home win despite a 36-point night from Jayson Tatum in Game 3. Defensive stopper Jrue Holiday was missing from that one, and he’ll be out again here. Without him, the Magic are able to run things more freely. The size and energy of Orlando inside has also really bothered Kristaps Porzingis, who has struggled. We won’t go so far as to pick them outright, but we like the Magic to keep it interesting here.
Pick: Orlando Magic Alternative +8.5 Point Spread (-160)
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers (Game 4, IND Leads 2-1) - 9:30PM E.T.
Thanks to an insane nine triples from Gary Trent in Game 3, the Bucks are still in this thing. However, we don’t think they will be for long. The Pacers are simply too deep and too talented, and it’s clear that Damian Lillard is nowhere near back to 100 percent based on his first couple of performances. Giannis Antetokounmpo will continue to dominate, and his teammates will continue to struggle.
Pick: Indiana Pacers Moneyline (+160)/Betway
