The 2025 NBA Play-In tournament gets underway on Tuesday. For those who don’t know, the No. 7 seed plays the No. 8 in each conference for the rights to the real No. 7 seed. The loser of that game then plays the winner of a matchup between the No. 9 and No. 10 seeds for the rights to the real No. 8 seed.

Out West, the battle for the No. 7 seed will be between the 48-34 Golden State Warriors, who will be hosting, and the 48-34 Memphis Grizzlies. Two teams that are 14 games over .500 competing in the Play-In is unfortunate for them, but hey, that’s why you’ve got to win on that final day. They don’t call it the wild, wild west for nothing. Check out our best bets for the proceedings at Chase Center on Tuesday.

2025 NBA Regular Season Best Bets Record: 29-23 (+0.50)

Warriors vs. Grizzlies Point Spread/Moneyline Prediction

The Jimmy Butler acquisition has really done wonders for Steph Curry and the Warriors. They are 23-7 since the trade, which makes it a real wonder that they fell into the Play-In at all. They definitely do not belong here built as they are, and NBA betting sites clearly agree, as they are the biggest favorites in the Play-In tournament so far at 7.0 points.

These teams actually met in an epic Play-In matchup back in 2021, one which the Grizzlies eked out in overtime. However, they are a bit of a mess right now. They just fired their head coach of six seasons, Taylor Jenkins, a couple of weeks ago, and are 4-5 since then. They haven’t been showing a lot of grit lately either, having gone 0-7 ATS as a dog of 6+ points since the end of December.

Memphis has not risen to the occasion against top competition in the West all year. They have gone 5-19 straight up against the seven teams ahead of them in the West standings this year, which includes 10 straight games where they have failed to cover the spread. We’re going with the Dubs here, and we don’t even think we need to buy a point.

Best Bet: Golden State Warriors -7.0 Point Spread (-110)

Warriors vs. Grizzlies Over/Under Prediction

Both of these teams have elite offensive weapons, but in this pressure cooker of a game, we think both sides are going to lock in defensively. The over is just 2-4 in the last six games for both the Warriors and the Grizzlies coming into this one.

Five of the last six games for Golden State have gone under 230, and the same goes for Memphis. Every other matchup between these teams has gone over the total this season, but we think this game breaks that mold. We’ll buy up a point or two from betting apps though, just to be safe.

Best Bet: Alternative Game Total Points Under 232.5 (-155)

Player Prop Best Bet

We know this isn’t technically a playoff game, but it’s going to be a playoff atmosphere. And Steph Curry ups his game when the lights are their brightest: he’s averaged 24.7 points per game for his regular season career, but 27.0 during his playoff career. He’s also averaged 27.0 since Jimmy Butler’s arrival, up from 22.7 this season before his arrival. Curry has been cooking lately, going for 30+ in four of his last seven. Let’s ride the wave.

Best Bet: Steph Curry Over 28.5 Points (-115)/Betway
