What is DraftKings Social and how does it work?
DraftKings Social is a feature that works like a social media platform. The feature could be something that shows up on more sports betting sites in the future. At the moment, you won’t find something like it on most of the other betting sites. DraftKings bettors can access DraftKings Social without paying anything.
When bettors open DraftKings Social, they are sent to the home page where all the bets are. The page works in a similar way as an X/Twitter feed. But has posts from other DraftKings bettors. Bettors can scroll through posts, like posts, comment, view bets, follow bettors, and more. Bettors can also edit their profile with their name, location, favourite sports, and favourite teams.
Post bets and see posts from other bettors with DraftKings Social
DraftKings gives bettors the option to sort posts. You can choose to see posts for bettors who you are following, recent posts from all DraftKings bettors, and popular posts. The sportsbook also lets bettors pick if they only want to see posts about soccer, basketball, football, tennis, baseball, hockey, golf, boxing, MMA, or cricket. There is even a search bar for users and posts. The “for you” section is next to the bets section. This section doesn’t let bettors sort through posts. The sportsbook chooses what posts a bettor will see. DraftKings also recommends other bettors to follow.
Making posts on DraftKings Social is similar to making a post on X/Twitter and Instagram. DraftKings lets bettors attach media, polls, contests, and bets to their posts. Bettors who don’t want to send a post to the public can send a post to their friends, only DraftKings users, or send a private post that no one else will see.
What else can you do on DraftKings social?
Bettors on the sportsbook can create and join betting groups. The groups can have a ton of members. Bettors in groups share bets and go back and forth in the chat. Members can react to bets and comments with emojis. More than one group can be joined at a time. The sportsbook promotes groups, giving bettors a few options to choose from. Some groups have over 100,000 members.
There are a ton of group settings that can be changed. Automatically share any bets you place with your betting group. Share the wager amounts and payouts of your bets with other group members. Receive notifications when there are new messages, you are mentioned in a message, or someone replies to your message. And receive notifications for new bets, when someone tails your bet, or when someone comments on your bet.
Steps for creating a group
- Choose a group name
- Upload a custom icon for the group or pick a group emoji

- Choose whether or not other bettors need approval to post
- Choose a maximum number of members
