Toronto Raptors specials released on Bodog
Scottie Barnes and the Toronto Raptors will start their regular season at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 23. Barnes, the Raptors’ best player, and a few other young Raptors will be looking to take their games to the next level this season with Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, and OG Anunoby no longer on the roster. Another player who will have a ton of expectations this season is RJ Barrett. Barrett was one of team Canada’s best players during the 2024 Paris Olympics and finished fourth in the tournament in points per game with 19.8 ppg. He also shot 58.3% from the field and 43.8% from three.
With the season only a couple of months away, Bodog released some betting markets for the Raptors’ young stars, Barnes and Barrett. The specials focus on their regular season averages, giving bettors the chance to bet on their numbers for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Four betting markets are available for Barnes. Four betting markets are also available for Barrett. The sportsbook also has specials available for Bronny James and Klay Thompson in his first game against the Golden State Warriors.

Scottie Barnes specials
With the veterans from the 2019 championship roster on new teams, the Raptors look like they will be Barnes’ team for at least the next few seasons. Barnes averaged 19.9 ppg last season. The over/under for how many points Barnes will average this season is over/under 19.1 ppg. The odds are -120 for over and -120 for under 19.1. Barnes will probably be given every opportunity to go over 19.1 this season for a few reasons. Barnes is the future of the franchise, so much of the offense will run through him. If Barnes is going to develop into an elite scorer, the Raptors will have to give him more shot attempts. No player who averaged 23 or more points last season took less than 16.9 shots per game. Barnes attempted 15.7 shots per game last season. Finally, Siakam and VanVleet aren’t on the team.
The other specials for Barnes are for average rebounds, assists, and threes made per game. He averaged 8.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.7 threes made last season. Barnes, entering his fourth NBA season, still can be considered a young player. At only 23 years old, Barnes has the chance to combine his NBA experience with his physical abilities. He will be in a great spot to raise all of his averages if he does that, especially for a young team that is lacking in star power. But how well will Barnes handle being the face of the franchise and the unquestioned best player on the team? That responsibility could have a negative impact on his numbers this year as he tries to navigate life without Siakam, VanVleet, and Anunoby.
Over/under 19.1 points | Over/under 6.5 rebounds | Over/under 6.0 assists | Over/under 1.7 three-pointers |
Over -120 Under -120 |
Over -120 Under -120 |
Over -120 Under -120 |
Over -120 Under -120 |
RJ Barrett specials
Barrett is coming off a solid performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Barrett was the second leading scorer on a team with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray, Luguentz Dort, Dillon Brooks, and Andrew Nembhard. He was also top five in points per game for the whole tournament. His numbers at the Olympics were good, but the NBA isn’t Olympic basketball and Barrett will be on a different team. There is no guarantee Barrett will play that well for the Raptors. At over/under 21.2 points, he has a higher over/under than Barnes for average points scored this season. The odds are -120 for Barrett to go over 21.2 and -120 for Barrett to go under -120.

Barrett averaged 21.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.5 threes made per game with the Raptors in 32 games. Barrett averaged 20.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.6 threes made overall last season. Over/under betting specials are also available for Barrett’s average assists, rebounds, and threes made right now. The over/under for rebounds is 6.4 at -120 for over and under. The over/under for three-pointers made per game is 1.6 at -120 for over and under. Barrett’s over/under for assists is 3.8 at -120 for over and under.
