Everton vs. Bournemouth Premier League Odds - May 28th, 1130AM EST
Oddsmakers are expecting Everton to get the job done and secure their safety by themselves with a win over Bournemouth. However, Everton have not beaten Bournemouth since 2019, losing their last four matches against the side from the southern coast. Sportsbooks are also expecting this one to be a more goal-happy affair as the over on the 2.5 goal total is offering much lower odds than the under here. All odds provided by Sports Interaction.

Total Goals Prop
The goal total prop here is interesting because while Everton is a Sean Dyche-coached team that’s likely to sit back and play it safe hoping for a chance on the counter, they’ll also be playing with a level of desperation as they try to secure their safety. Everton also have the third-worst defensive record at home in the Premier League.
While Bournemouth were bottom five in terms of scoring goals away from the south coast, they have given up 42 goals away from Vitality Stadium, which is second-most in the Premier League. Everton hasn’t had a clean sheet in their last five matches, four of which finished with three goals or more.
Three of Bournemouth’s last six matches have also passed the total goal threshold bookmakers have set for this match, and while their overall away record offensively has been poor, they have been a lot more potent recently, scoring seven goals in their last five away matches.
At -152 odds, the over has been a bit overpriced but it hasn’t been priced out of play, serving as a safe option for bettors in such a dicey and crucial match.
Everton Premier League Odds Analysis
While Sean Dyche teams are generally known for their conservative play and low-scoring matches, that has not really been the case for the Merseyside squad since Dyche’s vintage 1-0 win over Arsenal in his Everton debut in the first week of February.
After that classic Dychean performance it has been an absolute roller coaster for Everton and their supporters as they’ve gone from looking like they’ve got no chance of staying up, to looking safe, to looking like they’re getting relegated again, to now, where they’ve got their destiny in their own hands.
Everton have been one of the most unpredictable sides in the Premier League, drawing to their enemies in the relegation battle, Leicester City, before beating the brakes off of a top six side in Brighton 5-1, before seemingly saving their season with a 99th minute equalizer last week against Wolves, the latest goal in the Premier League this season.
Everton will want to get on the front foot and pressure Bournemouth early in this fixture. Despite the fact that they sit below Bournemouth in the table, Everton will want to have more of the ball and more of the possession, at least until they get their goal.
If Everton can get the first goal, they will surely sink back into their patented low block and look to turn the match into a slog. If Bournemouth are able to take advantage of an early Everton mistake, however, this match could really open up and turn into a real barnburner.
Bournemouth Premier League Odds Analysis
Bournemouth had a great run in March and April that confirmed their spot in the Premier League next season after sitting in the relegation zone for most of the campaign, so they don’t have nearly as much to play for as Everton does. Nonetheless, Bournemouth are a very scrappy group, and they’ll surely want to finish the season on a high.
Bournemouth are not exactly in a great run of form at this point in time, however. Since their run of six wins in nine matches that lifted them out and above the relegation battle, Bournemouth has lost three straight matches by a combined score of 6-1.
It will be interesting to see if Bournemouth can get the set piece game right, as they score a good amount of set piece goals, but have also allowed a ton of goals to their opponents in those situations as well. The latter could be an issue with Everton’s big defenders finding their offensive touch in recent matches.
