Even in what was considered a “down year” by his standards in 2023-2024, Erling Haaland still led the EPL in scoring by five goals, finishing with 27. At this point, the -152 odds we’re getting from sports betting sites on him to lead the way for a third straight year are actually pretty reasonable, even if we do believe Manchester City are going to continue to reduce their reliance on him in front of the net.

If you can find Ontario sportsbooks offering this market without Haaland, it gets a lot more interesting. A player is going to have to offer the potential to score 25 goals to be seriously considered nowadays. While guys like Mohamed Salah and Heung-min Son have proven to have floors in the high teens, neither has scored more than 23 in the last six years, and they’re not getting any younger.

Instead, we look down the odds table, where we find youth and room to grow—not to mention more value in terms of soccer betting odds. Ollie Watkins (+1,600) and Cole Palmer (+1,800) are the best bets here, as they’re both leading men who don’t have to worry about sharing the scoring spotlight, even if we do think Watkins’ Aston Villa will regress as a whole.

Bukayo Saka at +3,300 is by far the best long shot here, as Arsenal are set to unlock their already potent attack in their hunt for Manchester City’s crown. His only drawback is the amount of goal-scoring potential around him in the form of guys like Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard.

A much more competitive market than the Golden Boot, Kevin De Bruyne makes sense atop the odds table, though his recent injury history and the fact that he’s already 33 years old make him a more risky bet than his +250 favorite odds suggest.

Cole Palmer might be the best here at +900 odds, as he proved last season he can put up double digit assists while still scoring a heap of goals as well. Chelsea are set to improve markedly as a squad, and Palmer is at the heart of that. Martin Odegaard also evolved into more of a final pass than final action guy for Arsenal last year, putting up 10 assists, so the maestro of Mikel Arteta’s attack at +1,200 is not too shabby either.

This award is given to the keeper that records the most clean sheets during the Premier League season, so this has as much to do with how strong a hold a keeper has on his role as well as how strong the defense is in front of them.

Arsenal was by far the best defense in the league last season (28 goals against), and they only got better during the offseason. David Raya has also exerted a stranglehold over the top job, and is coming off of a Golden Glove-winning campaign with 16 clean sheets in 32 matches played.

Ederson is a risky bet, as his backup could push him for the job, while the transition period at Liverpool makes Alisson a tough ask as well. Emiliano Martinez or Nick Pope would be decent long shot bets at +1,400 and +1,600 odds, respectively.
