Copa America 2024: Best Bets & Parlay | June 27

It seems as though Group C will come down to Uruguay and the USA after both won soundly on Matchday 1. Panama and Bolivia will be in tough again in Matchday 2, and we expect both favorites to take care of business once again. After finding success the first time around, we’re also going back to the Captain America well in our June 27 Copa parlay.

USA to Win (-278) | Betway

America wasted no time putting Bolivia to bed in their first match of the tournament, and while Panama is a much better side, they’re probably closer to Bolivia than the USA in terms of quality.

We think these moneyline odds for America are definitely a little bit more juiced than they should be, but you always need a lock for any successful parlay, and this is ours.

These nations have squared off 26 times before, and Panama has won just two of those in regulation. America has won 11 of the last 17 games outright, and after their convincing win against Bolivia, we believe this group is going to be picking up some steam heading into the knockout stage, so we’ll swallow the -278 odds we’re getting from sports betting sites, but begrudgingly.

Christian Pulisic (+125) | Betway

When it comes to soccer betting, nothing is a better friend to a bettor than a goalscoring midfielder. No matter their recent form, it seems they always have the third or fourth shortest odds to score on their team, nearly in the + odds range.

We’ve got one of those in Captain America, Christian Pulisic, right now. The Milan man just had the best club campaign of his career, and he’s kept it rolling for his country. If it wasn’t enough that he’s scored in six of his last nine caps and four in his last five (including a screamer against Bolivia), he’s also utterly dominated Panama every time he’s seen them across the pitch.

In four meetings, Pulisic has scored four goals and contributed two assists, including a hat trick in their most recent game. At +125 odds, this is a prop you should be betting as a single as well.

Uruguay -1 Handicap (-222) | Betway

Ontario sportsbooks didn’t do us any favors for this one, as Uruguay’s moneyline odds are un-bettable, and betting on a team to win a match by three goals just isn’t smart.

So, we’re stuck with these less-than-ideal odds for the Uruguayans, who looked excellent in a 3-1 win over a much better Panama squad, to win by 2+ goals. This is another safe pick, but it does bring our parlay odds to solid +344 odds here.
