Inter Milan and Bayern Munich will battle it out on Wednesday, April 16 in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie. The kick-off is scheduled for 3 PM ET at the San Siro. The Italian side ran out 2-1 winners in the first leg last week at the Allianz Arena courtesy of a late goal from Davide Frattesi. With just a one-goal deficit here, this should be a very entertaining clash between two clubs who are very even in several areas. Below, find our Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich picks.

Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich Odds

As you can see, the odds are similar. Inter sits at +165 on the moneyline, while Bayern returns at +155. These two have met eight times before in the Champions League, with the Germans winning four times. Inter also has three victories, while the other fixture ended level. There is no clear favorite for the second leg at soccer betting sites.

Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich Analysis

Inter is flying high this term both domestically and in Europe. They’re well on their way to another Scudetto, sitting six points clear at the top of the table with 71 points through 32 games. The Nerazzurri have a 21-8-3 record in Serie A and grabbed another big victory over the weekend, beating Cagliari 3-1. In fact, Inter is enjoying a 12-game unbeaten run across all competitions, last tasting defeat in early February against Juventus. They’ve only dropped six points during that span.

The Italian outfit played well in Munich last week and will be looking to get one step closer to another final, having also taken part in the showpiece two years ago, where they lost to Manchester City. Inter has won five straight Champions League games and have gone unbeaten in their last 14 UCL matches at the San Siro. That’s good news ahead of such a crucial affair.

Bayern is also enjoying itself this season. They’re in a prime position to reclaim the Bundesliga title from Bayer Leverkusen, with a six-point gap between the two. Vincent Kompany’s group has only lost twice in league play while grabbing 21 wins and six draws. But, they won’t be pleased with a lone point in a 2-2 draw with Dortmund in Der Klassiker on Saturday in Munich.

While Bayern has won just once in their last eight UCL ties after losing the opening leg, they have enjoyed success against Inter before. The Bundesliga giants have won every single Champions League game versus Simone Inzaghi’s men at the San Siro. Although their form isn’t great at the moment, Bayern will be hopeful of turning around their fortunes.

Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich Injury News

Piotr Zielinski and Denzel Dumfries are still sidelined due to injuries for Inter, but they will come in well-rested after allowing several key starters to sit over the weekend against Cagliari. Bayern is, of course, without Alphonso Davies after he tore his ACL, while Jamal Musiala is out for the remainder of the campaign as well. Dayot Upamecano and Hiroki Ito are in the treatment room, too.

Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich Picks

Inter has been absolutely remarkable defensively in the Champions League. They conceded just once in the group stages and only once in the Round of 16 against Feyenoord as well. I’m expecting a cagey affair here that will end level, with the Serie A side moving on. A draw offers immense value.
