Hansi Flick’s men are four points clear at the top of La Liga ahead of Real Madrid, and with Los Blancos staring down an early departure from Europe’s most prized competition, it opens up a clear opportunity for the Catalans to eye a UCL title. They’ve definitely looked the part, playing fantastic football in the group stages with a 6-1-1 record before running through Benfica in the Round of 16.
Barca didn’t slow down in the opening leg against Dortmund, either. Raphinha bagged his UCL leading 12th goal of the campaign while also providing two assists. Robert Lewandowski, who has been firing on all cylinders in the final third, hit the back of the net twice, too. Barcelona hasn’t tasted defeat since December of last year and continues to find positive results on a weekly basis. They won’t need to do much here to progress to the semifinals. Considering this club rarely concedes a lot of goals, they’re in a great position.
