2023 Hungarian Grand Prix Formula One Outright Betting Odds

Formula One’s Hungarian Grand Prix will take place this weekend on July 23rd at the Hungaroring in Mogyorod, Hungary.

The 11th race of the 2023 F1 world championship, it represents yet another chance for Max Verstappen to distance himself from the pack, but also a chance for the field to win a race over the Dutchmen for the first time since the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in April.

As has been the case with every single race this season, Verstappen comes in as the major favorite in the outright betting markets on all online betting sites.

Highlights

  • Max Verstappen is the favorite to win with -278 odds
  • Lewis Hamilton is the driver with the next shortest odds at +1,400
  • Verstappen also won the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2022

2023 Hungarian Grand Prix Formula One Outright Betting Odds - July 23rd

Max Verstappen has been on an almost unprecedentedly dominant run in 2023, winning eight of the first 10 races and finishing second in the other two. However, while the space behind him was going to his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, early in the season, the rest of the teams and drivers have been making better moves in recent weeks to close the gap with Red Bull, if not Verstappen himself. Max Verstappen Betting Odds

While his -278 odds are still pretty chalky, they’re not nearly as chalky as they could be and usually are for Max Verstappen. He’s on a heck of a run right now, and he won the Hungarian Grand Prix last year too, so he’s had success on this track before. It will take a more significant investment, but an outright bet on Verstappen at this point of the season is as close as it gets to a lock.

Lewis Hamilton Betting Odds

When it comes to tracks that Lewis Hamilton loves to drive, the Hungaroring is up there with his favorites. During his six-year reign atop the Formula One world, Hamilton won nearly every race available, but he was especially good in Hungary, where he won the Grand Prix a whopping eight times, winning his most recent one in 2020. In the two most recent Hungarian Grand Prix, Hamilton finished second. Hamilton’s +175 odds for a podium finish are as intriguing a bet as you’ll find on Sunday.

Lando Norris Betting Odds

When Lando Norris came into F1, he was touted as the next big thing. He has been solid since, but hasn’t quite lived up to the hype. Over the past two races he’s started to round into form, putting together a fourth place finish in Austria and snagging second place in the most recent race at Silverstone. He doesn’t have any special history at the Hungaroring, so his +200 odds for another podium are a little bit dicey.

Sergio Perez Betting Odds

What has happened to Checo? Sergio Perez came out of the 2023 gates hot, earning four podiums in the first five races of the year, but he’s really hit the skids recently. He has managed just one podium over the past five races since then. Competition behind Verstappen is fierce, so Perez will need to pick up the pace if he wants to keep his car, but +110 for a podium finish isn’t really worth the investment

Fernando Alonso Betting Odds

Fernando Alonso was another driver that started off the season really well, grabbing five podiums in the first six races. He’s not been quite as good over the last few weeks, but he still hasn’t finished below seventh in 2023. He has won the Hungary Grand Prix before when he was driving for Renault in 2003, and with Hamilton now nipping at his heels in the standings, the veteran will be looking for a bounce back. The +110 odds for a podium finish could be a little bit longer but they’re a solid option.
